Project Stream Grant Awards for 2019-2020 Year
Project Stream grant applicants work very hard to apply for grant funds! Starting with an idea, applicants work out details, do preliminary planning, make up a budget, and write a narrative document explaining what they plan to do. The most rewarding part of the process is when grant decisions are made and grant applicants receive letters stating that their projects have been approved for funding. For the 2019-2020 Project Stream grant year a Grant Awards Ceremony was held on Tuesday October 29 at the Bottle Works in the Cambria City section of Johnstown. Grant recipients had a chance to mingle and get to know each other, to hear about each organization’s funded project, enjoy refreshments and look at the artwork on display. Hank Knerr, PA Rural Arts Alliance Board Vice President, made opening remarks and assisted in awarding grant checks.
There were 44 organizations that applied for grant funds for the 2019-2020 project year, all applicants were funded. One applicant declined funding. There were 14 new organizations that applied for funds this year.
