New Opportunities for Artists
The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA), a statewide organization, has 14 regions which provide arts programs, services and opportunities across the state. The Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance is located in Region 13. This region includes Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Indiana and Jefferson Counties.
The PCA maintains several partnership programs which offer a variety of programs throughout the commonwealth. These partnerships are Arts In Education, Folk and Traditional Arts, and Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts. In each of the 14 regions there are organizations that are responsible for maintaining the programs in each of the partnership areas.
Region 13 will host several events to spotlight the partnerships in the region. The first of these events will take place on Wednesday January 18 at the Haskell House, 500 Main Street in Clarion PA, starting at 6 pm. There is no charge to attend. The evening will include a time for networking, hors d’oeuvres, and an opportunity to hear from three regional arts administrators who will talk about the programs and services that are available. This is a great chance to learn about what is available and how you can get involved!
