Creative Health Impact Grant Awards Announced for 2021-2022 Year
The 1889 Foundation and Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance (PRAA) have announced the 2021-2022 recipients of the Creative Health Impact Grant (CHIG) Awards. The awards provide up to $50,000 in 1889 Foundation funds to support arts programs related to health and wellness in Cambria and Somerset Counties. The 1889 Foundation gift comes from foundation funds that have been donor-designated to support arts programs, and all funded activities will take place from September 1, 2021 through August 31, 2022.
Susan Mann, President of the 1889 Foundation and Becky Catelinet, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance, both noted how much this grant program has grown over the 6 years that it has been in existence. The partnerships created through this grant process have provided strong health and wellness programs and activities that have benefitted the residents of the region.
