The National Arts Marketing Project of the Americans for the Arts, with funding provided by the Pennsylvania Council on the arts, have developed a new marketing initiative. This initiative was designed to help the state’s nonprofit sector consistently achieve increased and more engaged audiences; address long-term declining arts participation; and assist arts and cultural organizations – particularly those within diverse communities – in attracting and retaining expanded audiences. The initiative is entitled ARTS MARKETING AND AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT IN THE 21ST CENTURY: BUILDING THE CAPACITY OF PA’S CULTURAL SECTOR. This two-year capacity-building program aims to support, strengthen and advance the arts marketing and audience engagement skills of PA’s arts and culture professionals.
Several information workshops are planned to provide more information about this initiative and what it takes to get involved. Ruby Lopez Harper from Americans for the Arts will explain what is required to complete a successful 2018 application and see if this program fits your organization’s goals. Program details, selection criteria and the application process will be covered. A digital informational session will be available for those who cannot attend in person.
