The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Project Stream grant application for the 2017-18 year is now open for applicants to apply. These funds are available through the PCA’s Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA) program. The PPA program offers opportunities for arts organizations, community-based groups and individual artists to apply for up to $2,500 in funding to support performance activities, exhibitions, and other arts projects that are presented to the public. Funded events must take place between September 1, 2017 and August 31, 2018. The deadline for grant submission is June 20, 2017. Grant applicants in the counties of Armstrong, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Indiana, Somerset and Westmoreland apply for grant funds through the Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance.
Grant workshops will be held in several locations in the PRAA region. Attending a grant workshop is a great way to learn the process and to have a “hands-on” session reviewing the application on line. Please register for a workshop by calling the PRAA office at 814-472-3927 or by emailing the PRAA office.
Workshops are scheduled as follows:
- Tuesday May 23 – Cambria County – from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at Bottleworks Ethnic Arts Center, 411 Third Avenue, Johnstown
- Wednesday May 24 – Westmoreland County – from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Waterworks Pub and Event Center, 1817 S Broad St Ext, Greensburg
